Customer & OEM Engagement Continues to Grow for ExcelCoat
“With additional ExcelCoats in the worldwide market every year, word is spreading to printers and press manufacturers that ExcelCoat offers advanced coating capabilities with automation and high throughput,” said Scott Michels, Harris & Bruno VP of Sales & Marketing. “It was a pleasure to meet with many of our partners and develop new partnerships at Graph Expo this year.”
Showcased with live demonstrations in H&B’s Graph Expo booth was an ExcelCoat ZR30 with the features of a Corona Treatment Unit and Duplexer. The Corona unit eases wettability for primers/coatings over substrates and ink traditionally difficult for adhesion.
The Duplexer flips sheets inline for seamless duplex coating or to prepare prints for the next downstream finishing process. ExcelCoat’s chamber/anilox metering system is the preferred method for applying AQ, soft touch, matte, and other coatings with particulates.
Harris & Bruno International has been manufacturing printing/coating machinery for more than 65 years. Current products focus on offline/inline coatings systems, chamber/anilox, and related fluid pumping and wash-up systems. H&B has a worldwide network of direct office and dealers. Dscoop attendees were interested to learn about the ability of ExcelCoat’s chamber/anilox system to lay down coating with particulates such as UV Matte and UV Soft Touch, as well as its ability to apply AQ coatings in a high-throughput environment. Current HP Indigo / ExcelCoat users also stopped by the booth to express their thanks.
“The best way I can sum up our experience with Harris & Bruno and the ExcelCoat installation is ‘It’s been easy,'” said Brian Benson, Chief Executive Officer of Benson Integrated Marketing Solutions, where they bought an ExcelCoat to compliment their HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press. “From the sales process to the on-site training and machine reliability, we couldn’t have had it go any better. We were up and running in four days and the relationship with H&B has been outstanding. Harris & Bruno’s machine is an obvious choice for any PSP who wants to add coating to their product offerings.”
H&B is excited to be bringing machines to HP’s Print China booth April 7-12, the Dscoop EMEA event in Dublin June 3-5, and Graph Expo Sept. 13-16. If you’d like to receive a coating sample booklet with technical details of the machine, please send an e-mail request to [email protected]com.
