PHOENIX, Arizona – Harris & Bruno International announces they will showcase their ExcelCoat series of offline/inline coaters for UV & AQ at Dscoop March 1-4, while also celebrating a strong partnership with HP.
At Dscoop, H&B will distribute ExcelCoat samples of high-quality coating over HP Indigo prints. ExcelCoat installations continue to compliment HP Indigo Digital Presses worldwide. In fact, ExcelCoats have been installed inline or near line to several recent major HP Indigo placements at Shutterfly, Cimpress, Avery Dennison, and RR Donnelley.
“The HP partner program has worked well for us and we’re excited that our coating systems align well with the expectations of quality, throughput, and increased revenue sought by HP press owners,” said Scott Michels, H&B VP of Sales & Marketing. “We’re committed to continually building on these relationship on many fronts.”

The Harris & Bruno ExcelCoat offline/inline coater for UV and AQ continues to gain exposure at worldwide trade shows.
Last month, an ExcelCoat was showcased in the Print China Hewlett-Packard booth. Next month, one will be demonstrated at Dscoop EMEA in Dublin.
H&B coated 11 pallets of prints at Print China, including thin substrate from the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press and packaging board from the HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press. Many of the packaging boards were actually part of an Indigo SmartStream Solution. ExcelCoat’s chamber/anilox system was integral in applying a consistent layer of UV gloss that was receptive enough for downstream foil stamping.
“It’s always great to meet with our worldwide HP partners and customers,” said Scott Michels, H&B Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “We look forward to giving demonstrations, answering questions, and showcasing our equipment’s abilities.”

Dscoop attendees were interested to learn about the ability of ExcelCoat’s chamber/anilox system to lay down coating with particulates such as UV Matte and UV Soft Touch, as well as its ability to apply AQ coatings in a high-throughput environment. Current HP Indigo / ExcelCoat users also stopped by the booth to express their thanks.
“The best way I can sum up our experience with Harris & Bruno and the ExcelCoat installation is ‘It’s been easy,'” said Brian Benson, Chief Executive Officer of Benson Integrated Marketing Solutions, where they bought an ExcelCoat to compliment their HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press. “From the sales process to the on-site training and machine reliability, we couldn’t have had it go any better. We were up and running in four days and the relationship with H&B has been outstanding. Harris & Bruno’s machine is an obvious choice for any PSP who wants to add coating to their product offerings.”
H&B is excited to be bringing machines to HP’s Print China booth April 7-12, the Dscoop EMEA event in Dublin June 3-5, and Graph Expo Sept. 13-16. If you’d like to receive a coating sample booklet with technical details of the machine, please send an e-mail request to [email protected].
